The darkness covered Kybele. She stared up at the cavern ceiling. It was black too. She had always been in the dark. That is probably why her skin stays a grey pallor. Her thoughts brought about images above her that played out like a movie. The dreams that had been haunting her eyelids since she was born. The prophecy: The setting was a ruined New York. There was dust and debris everywhere. Ashes and smoke filled the air. Kybele walked solomnly through the ruined city with wide piercing eyes. Her left hand clentched the nameless sword as she approached the only lighted scene. Bolts of lightning were flashing ahead of her. Electricty played on the broken powerlines and in puddles of water. Kybele payed little mind to the danger around her.
She moved on until she was facing the battle between Zeus and Kronos. The other gods had fallen. The demigods were defeated....all...but one. The bronze haired female stood beyond Zeus. Kybele thought she looked like a scared lamb. 'How fitting,' she thought with a wince. Kybele raised her sword and started picking up speed. The large men were getting closer but as soon as she was apon them she stook a sharp turn and was closing in on the girl that was t obe her niece. "Burn, you cowardice!" Kybele screamed with fierocity.
The image blurred and then the blackness returned. The solitude was her only sanctuary among the choas that raged around her. Speeking of which, a deep throaty voice boomed from beyond the cave and echoed until Kybele thought her eardrumbs would burst. One of her eyes twitched at the anger she was not capable of supressing. She quickly sat up from her stone bed and walked heavily towards the entrance. Her fists clentched titghtly until her nails bit into her flesh. Her dark hair flowed behind her as she advanced on the arguement at the center of Tartarus. A tall meaty boy about the age of seventeen was circling another that was stood a foot lower than the other. They both looked angry and ready to fight. Kybele's eye twitched a few more times before she made a few swift moves. Her arm was pressed against the larger guys throat and her foot was crushing the chest of the smaller. Their faces went from hatred to complete fear. Even through the grim plastered on their faces, their skin turned sheet white. "Kybele! Release!" a woman bellowed from behind. Her mother Rhea stood behind her with arms crossed over her chest. Kybele forcefully knocked the larger one down beside the other and walked away.
"My daughter. Such a tempered one. You should use that for the war ahead. Save your fury for your prophecy dear," Rhea cooed. She almost touched the warrior girl's hair as a loving mother would then faught the urge. Kybele had never known what 'true' love of a parent should or could be. Rhea worried that if she messed up, Kybele would go intt oa fit of outrage. Kybele stomped back into her solitude. The darkness consumed her before Rhea could say anything else.
"Tempered," Kybele repeated in a monotoned voice. She then sat back on her stone bed and stared at the dark spots in her room. A small table sat across the room withs a seat. It was an old chess table that held pieces that resembled the characters of the gods. She had fasioned a few other pieces that resembled a few other enemies of her's. She grabbed the piece of wood she had been carving and started carving the details that held Aglaia's angelic features.
