Name: Nathaniel Parker
Age: 15
Species: Demigod
Gender: Male
Child of: Hades
NPCs: His mother (unnamed XD) and his Grandfather (mini-plottage idea ;] )
Appearance: An old top hat sits upon Nathaniels head. Some people wonder why he wears it when he has such nice black hair, but he is never seen without it. His grand top hat also hides his dark brown eyes. This he does on purpose, afraid that someone might see too much of him if they are viewed. Most of the time a small grin is found upon his face, which is quite odd for a son of Hades. None the less that smile formed with his soft lips sits on his pale skin.
Standing at 6" most people would think him to be arrogant. This is because he wears suits, even when out training. His mother wanted him to be a gentleman and that was what he was going to be. Not all of his suits were nice dress up ones, why in fact the one he mainly wears is plain black with a white undershirt and a black tie. Of course along with this he always has his cane and a skull ring on his right hand in tribute to his father.
Personality: Although Nathaniel is thought to be arrogant, he really is not. He is, as his mother would say, a gentleman. He holds doors open for anyone, cares what others have to say, uses please and thank you, and even would let a lady in front of him if asked kindly. Overall he is a very kind and caring person.
Most would believe him to be the angsty kid hiding in the corner, Nathaniel is quite the opposite. He may not be bubbly like the Apollo kids, but he is certainly not like his siblings. Instead he is quite social. He does enjoy walking along with someone knew and just learning anything about them. He finds it interesting to learn about what others like and who they get along with. Although he isn't what you would call 'popular' he does get around.
If there is one thing you want to do to really tick Nathaniel off then insult either his mother or grandfather. Being something close to a mama's boy, he feels very attached to her and feels the need to defend her. If you insult his grandfather you're just asking for it. His whole person is formed around the stories of his grandfather he was told when he was only a child.
History: "You should be a gentleman," a young woman, also known as Nathaniel's mother, said to her son one foggy afternoon. Her little boy had been looking out a window covered in condensation drawing little shapes on it with his fingers. His mother had smiled when she saw this. He was so young, but already learning basic shapes. Just as the child had turned around to look at his mother, she placed a top hat on his head, one that was far too large for him. He giggled as the rim was pushed up so he could see.
Nathaniel made a face at his mother and she just smiled more before telling her son who that hat had belonged to: her father. Soon enough he was whisked away onto her lap and told of his grandfather the gentleman. It may have seemed like he was not taking in all of what his mother was saying, but he remembered it.
Growing up Nathaniel always kept his top hat on. When school finally came around for him he always dressed in the nicest outfits. Even though he did so, he was not made fun of. In fact most of the girls ended up wanting him to chase them during recess and the boys always wanted to swap toys.
When his first play date came around, Nathaniel and Robbie were sitting in Robbie's room playing with his toys. This was until Robbie rushed out of his bedroom crying, holding a dead gerbil in his hands, asking why it wouldn't wake up. All the boys had wanted to do was teach it some tricks. When Nathaniel grabbed the small creature out of it's cage (wanting to hold it momentarily) and after holding it for a moment, it suddenly fell limp. It didn't add up to either of the boys.
Forgetting that event, years later when Nathaniel started the 3rd grade he received his first pet: a puppy named Freckle. Only a day after Freckle came home, he ended up dying of poison. Nathaniel wouldn't admit it, but he had found some special powder under the sink and thought it would make the dog food taste better. He was not a bright child.
It was in the sixth grade that Nathaniel went to Camp Half-Blood. He had been walking in the park with his friends when suddenly an old woman of all people attacked them! Nathaniel ran to his mother and together they ran, the old woman (who had now transformed into some ugly beast, or so Nathaniel had though) chasing only after them, not caring for his friends. When his mother finally got her son into the car and they were off driving towards Long Island, she explained everything to her son. He looked at her in disbelief. He wanted to know who his father was, but his mother said she had sworn on her life that she would not tell him.
When they arrived at Camp Half-Blood, his mother raced him up a hill covered with tall grass. That pesky old woman was still after them! Frightened to death, Nathaniel spotted someone on top of the hill and called for help. It wasn't long before the girl on the hill came to the rescue and destroyed the monster. From there on he began going to Camp Half-Blood every Summer.
It was his third year at Camp Half-Blood that he had been claimed. After a boy named Percy Jackson (who had pretty much saved the world) demanded that the Gods claim their children, he was claimed. He was out in the woods one day with his sword, which was a decent fit for him, when it happened. Suddenly a crossbones appeared above Nathaniel's head and a cane fell from the sky. A voice filled his head telling him 'A true gentleman needs to look the part fully.' The cane turned out to transform into a sword that was perfectly balanced!

SAMPLE: "Ouch" Abriel muttered to herself. The 9 year old girl was laying on Half-Blood Hill, just on the other side a whole new world. . . . world that should've belonged to them. A place they could've shared, but no. Things had to be settled harshly. The thought of it sickened her. Sharing was something simple that everyone learned back in pre-k of course now they had to fight for what was rightfully theirs. Those kids on the other side who DARED calling themselves demigods made her stomach churn. She would admit that some probably didn't know the truth and that wasn't their fault. At the same time she could also be the one unaware of the truth, but it didn't matter to her. Wherever her brother went, she would follow.
Well most of the time. Just recently he had been sent off to go recruit more demigods. Yes, Abriel was sad she couldn't go with him, apparently everyone thought she was too young. Sometimes people could be so stupid. It wasn't like she couldn't fight or anything, she was really good at sparring, but they still said it was too dangerous for a kid. That really upset her because everyone in their army was nothing but a kid, so why would she be singled out? She was the youngest. It always worked out that way and it wasn't fair.
Running her fingers through the yellow grass, Abriel sighed as she closed her eyes. The sun was irritating her, but a grin still managed to escape as she pulled up some of the grass and let it float away with the breeze flowing by. It was a decent fall day, it was somewhat cloudy and the sun was out, shining a little to brightly, but there was nothing she could do about that. The sun was there shoving its light in her face and she could only sit there and take it.
Her grin grew to a smile as she thought about the other demigods seeing her now, seeing things as she did. A battle between the sun and herself. Then they would see how tough she was. Then they wouldn't just send her off to do nothing when work was to be done. She could've been training or attending to the injured, something. It wasn't like they had much to do around their camp anyway. Besides there wasn't even anyone else her age there AND her brother was gone!
With Abriel's other hand behind her head, a sudden shade covered her. Her eyes opened, one at a time, to see someone standing over her. They were probably just coming over to see who was sitting on the Hill and why they weren't working, but when they would see her they would just make up some excuse like they thought she was a demigod headed for Camp Half-Blood. They always did.
